The EtiquetaNews Awards have presented their new poster for the 2022 Edition and with it they have kicked off the contest. A modern and original graphic proposal that, as is tradition, has been made by the winner of the previous edition, which in 2021 was the Labasad School of Design student, Luis Utrillas.
An edition that will be international for the first time, because in 2021 the EtiquetaNews Awards managed to be present in 100% of the Spanish territory and needed to expand. In this sense, as its general director, Carlos Alonso, says, “It was necessary to offer the possibility of participating to students from other countries since in Spain we had already managed to get graphic design students from all provinces to participate. In addition, a more global vision of how label design is seen in the world was needed, which at the same time that would help to give even more prestige to the EtiquetaNews Awards through an open competition at the global level. In this way, we want to be the best possible international platform to promote young talents in graphic design. We have been preparing for four editions to make this great leap and that is why this edition will be very special ”.
The 2022 edition will once again have a first-rate jury, with the label graphic designers with the most awards on the market: Pati Núñez (Pati Núñez Associats), Miguel Ángel del Baño (Estudio Maba), José Vila (Enpedra Wine Design Studio) , Albert Puigdemont (Puidemont Roca), Irene Gavalda (Made by Us), Isabel Cabello (Cabello x Mure) …
On the other hand, the 5th Edition of the EtiquetaNews Awards will have a very open basis, which will facilitate the students to display all their talent in the project.
The first prize will be endowed with 2,500 euros and, for the first time, students of graphic design from centers with which the organization has not signed the corresponding participation agreement will also be able to present themselves. An opportunity so that no one is left out of the contest, but that will continue to value the work of the training centers that present the most students and that demonstrate the highest quality.
